Life as we know it

I didn't have wnough time to shower during Mark's nap today. So I took him in the bathroom with me after he woke up. I close the door and leave the curtain up half way, so he stays out of trouble. He'll peak at me and I'll splash him.

After I got dressed, I released him and he took off into the wild of the living room. I was still brushing my hair when I heard him give a cry. Not just any cry. There-is-a-wild-dog-attacting-me cry. SO I run out, without my glasses of course. I can't see a thing, but I'm here to save you! Mark had pulled down a mega-cup of grape kool-aid I had on the counter. He was gasping like he had been dunked head first. Soaked from head to foot! Huh, maybe now you'll remember that mommy tells you not to touch her juice and not to touch things on that counter.

I'm not even sure why I'm retelling this you all. It isn't that funny when I re-read it. But something about catching him trying to drink out of a mega-cup and ending up soaked and shocked was the highlight of my day. Sounds a little mean, sorry. You had to be there.

I have to clear a few ??s and comments I got about my haircut.
First, thank you for all the nice kodos! I really like it. I feel all sexy and fresh.
Secon, I didn't cut it myself. My sister did it. She is going to school at the WI State College of Beauty Culture. She does a really good job. She cut Mark's hair and also is now cutting Gabriel's hair and bleached it. He looks awesome.
Yeah, I wanted my hair short, but I didn't want the mommy hair. It seems like it is really hard to find short hair that is sexy with out having to spend 2 hours styling. My idea of styling is to wash, towel dry, brush, air dry, repeat as necessary.

I always cut my own hair. I've been doing it for years. I can't stand for other people to run their fingers through my hair, and I know how I want it done so I just do it myself. Although, three years ago when I wanted short hair, I put it in a ponytail at the back and had Bear cut it - he was only 10 at the time.

Awww... poor Mark. He must've been really shocked when the Kool Aid dumped on him not to mention that it was probably cold too, lol.
Do you think he learned though (not) he he. They forget quickly, lol.

I also love when the kiddos have to learn lessons the hard way. Just goes to show us all we have to look forward too when they are teenagers and they STILL don't listen to a word we say. :)
